HOW DO I……SET UP A REVIEW COURSE OR EXAM??

If after checking the calendar on each certification's website, you do not find an Exam Review Course or Exam scheduled in your area, you or your organization may become a host or sponsor; here are the steps to set up an Exam Review Course or Exam:

1. Find a classroom set-up location that will accommodate Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and select some possible dates to hold the event (i.e. Exam Review Course(s) and/or Exam(s)). Exam Review Courses are 6 to 8 hours in length and Exams range from 3 to 5 hours in length. Usually 1 day is scheduled to offer an Exam Review Course and a morning or afternoon is scheduled on the following day for an Exam. Exams for all 4 certifications may be offered at the same time.
2. Decide if you or your organization will provide an event brochure (for promotion and registration) development, Exam Review Course and Exam registration, and/or promotion of the event. If you wish, the Certification Program can provide these services for a fee.
3. Sign a Sponsor Agreement. A Sponsor Agreement may be obtained from the Certification Program.
4. Locate an Approved Instructor in your area for the certification program that you're interested in by visiting each certification's website. You must also have an Approved Proctor for exam day; most Approved Instructors can also provide this service.
5. Discuss available dates and any possible instructor fees and expenses that may need to be paid as well as other logistical items with the Approved Instructor. The Approved Instructor will provide the Review Course manuals and Exams.
6. Sign an instructor agreement. The Instructor Agreement will be provided by the Instructor.
7. Develop the event brochure (or work with the Certification Program to provide this) and start promoting your event.
8. Accept event registrations (or work with the Certification Program to provide this).
9. On Exam day, candidates MUST have quiet conditions and enough room to spread out to work the test. No more than 1 person should be seated at a 6 foot table.
